day off

spent ten hours in the van, not much to report. we stayed the night at our friend george’s house in carrboro, and made it there in time to have some cocktails at the orange county social club with him and our friend brian. later, finding ourselves very hungry, we made a late-night pit stop at the time out restaurant, where we gorged ourselves on chicken biscuits and mashed potatoes and fried okra (when did I start turning this into a food blog? I guess these are the things you get excited about when you travel a lot, the local cuisine). we kicked ass on some jiu-jitsu mats and had breakfast at elmo’s the next morning, where eric used to work a long, long time ago. I recommend the turkey sausage.
